Bitzero, a Vancouver-based cryptocurrency mining firm backed by investor Kevin O'Leary, has raised $25 million to scale its eco-friendly operations. The capital will fund the acquisition of 2,900 Bitmain S21 Pro mining rigs, renowned for energy efficiency, with deployment expected within six months. These machines are projected to generate $10 million in annual revenue while reducing operational costs.
The company operates hydro-powered data centers across North America and Europe, combining cryptocurrency mining with high-performance computing. Recent expansion plans include four new facilities in North Dakota, Norway, and Finland, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable infrastructure. "This investment accelerates our deployment of cutting-edge mining technology and solidifies our leadership in profitable, environmentally responsible data centers," said CEO Mohammed Bakhashwain.
